y An enrolment form for all OSHC
programs is available f rom the
Junior School Office and on the
Scotch Oakburn College website
and dashboard - www.soc .tas.edu.au.
Please go to ‘College’ and then
‘Early Learning Centre’ to find
y Bookings for BSC and ASC can be
casual or permanent and can be
made via the enrolment form or
via the Junior School Office on
(03) 6336 3377. Please ensure that
casual bookings and changes to
casual or permanent bookings are
made by 12.00 noon on the day
required (ASC) or by 12.00 noon of
the day prior to the booking (BSC).
y Vacation Care bookings are
required by the date published
on each Vacation Care booking form.
These are available a fortnight prior
to the VC program via the Junior
School Office or the Scotch Oakburn
College website and dashboard
y Booking forms must be completed
and returned to Scotch Oakburn
College by the dates published to
confirm placement. All bookings
placed after the due date will need
to be made via email to the Vacation
Care Coordinator (Jacqui De Angelis –
who will confirm your booking
has been accepted.
ELC policies apply to all
OSHC programs with the

and VC. Children drink water f rom

Communication with you and your
child about the learning program will
occur informally through conversation
and brief notes in the planner but
primarily through The Dash. The Dash
is your lens into your child's learning
community and experiences they will
share. Your child's year level page will
provide information specific to Early
Learning Elphin or Early Learning Erina.
Your child's class page will provide
insights in the unique experiences and
learning shared by the children in
your child's learning community.
Your child’s learning and development
will be continually assessed and
ongoing observations made by
educators will be documented. These
provide the basis for planning the
learning program offered. Your child’s
progress and development will be
recorded and assessed through written
and photographic evidence and work
Throughout the year, additional
documentation of your child’s
learning in a particular area of
development will be communicated
via your child's ePortfolio on 'The Dash'.
These observations will include an
analysis of learning and forward
planning for your child. They will be
referenced to the Early Years
Learning f ramework.
In addition, a structured program
of formative assessment will occur.
In Term 1, ‘Parent Student Teacher’
conferences provide the opportunity
to discuss your child’s start to the year,
their current stage of development and
goals for the future.
You are most welcome to enquire
about your child’s progress and request
a meeting with your child’s teacher
to discuss their learning at any time
throughout the year.
A fee schedule for Early Learning and
OSHC is available f rom the College
website. Government Assistance
with Fees The Scotch Oakburn Early
Learning Centre is an approved
provider and therefore the Child Care
Subsidy (CCS) may be applied as a
reduction to all Early Learning and Out
of School Hours Care fees.
Each family's eligibility and level of CCS
is determined by the Commonwealth
Government. To find out more or to

PAYMENT OF FEES
Fees are invoiced fortnightly in arrears
and are payable by direct debit only
(financial institution or credit card).
Fees will be invoiced every day of your
child’s enrolment, including days on
which your child does not attend due to
sickness or other reason. Cancellation
policies apply to all OSHC programs.
